Baptism is your “yes” (your commitment) to a faith life rooted in the Christian tradition. For Anglicans, this can happen at any age. We baptize youth or adults able to make the baptismal promises by themselves.

We also baptize children. Parents and sponsors accept the responsibility of bringing a young child up in the Christian Faith. Parents do this for their children by telling stories about Jesus, bringing them to church and by showing them how important faith so that they know that Jesus loves them.

What is Baptism

Baptism is a public profession of faith. Baptism generally takes place during a Sunday worship service, within a community who also vows to support the person(s) in their faith.
